As you may or may not have noticed, Kevin Doyle is now a Colorado Rapid. The Wexford man joined the MLS side last week, and before heading out to the States Soccer AM caught up with him and asked him how his ‘American’ was. They did this by putting various words to him and asking him to translate them into American. Yes, that’s correct, an English TV show asking an Irishman to translate words into American.

Doyle seems like a good sport, right? He is easily able to translate Soccer, Crisps, Pavement, Dual Carriageway, Vacation, Idiot. He stumbles on Candy Floss, Courgette, One-Two and Bum Bag.
In all honesty, most would stumble on Candy Floss and Courgette, and perhaps Doyle was so rattled by those misses that he fluffed the relatively easy bum-bug. We’ll give him that.
