The Nike/Manchester United partnership is one of the most famed relationship in modern football history, arguably on a par with Real Madrid and Adidas, but it is set to end after next season.

The sportswear company have claimed that the demands for the next contract with Man Utd didn’t “represent good value for Nike shareholders”, and have ended negotiations with the side it has provided kits for over the last 12 years.

Nike’s current deal with The Reds was €30 million per season, but rumours suggest that the club wanted just under €90 million a year to sign on with the American company again.

United were hoping for a bidding war between Nike, Adidas, Puma, and Warrior, and it seems to have worked, as rumours have suggest that Adidas have secured a €950 million ten-year deal. What do United fans think, happy to see the back of Nike? Would you be happy with a kit like this?
