The Hammers have returned for pre-season training at Chadwell Heath: With them is new attacking coach Teddy Sheringham and a brand new kit.

Sheringham has been called upon to get the best of out of a goal shy West Ham attack – in particular the clubs record signing Andy Carroll.

Sam Allardyce will be hoping that Sheringham and his new throwback kit can bring back the glory days of the mid 80′s when West Ham were in their pomp.

Sam Allardyces men will be wearing an Adidas kit evocative of the clubs 1985/86 season strip; a throwback to a team that finished third in the league, West Ham’s highest ever placing.
