Pictures: Jonny Wilkinson Puts £1.5m “Career-Saving” House Up For Sale Jason Brennan England RUFC, Rugby Recently retired England and Toulon star Jonny Wilkinson has put his 19th century Northumberland home up for sale. Stretching across five acres, the house includes seven bedrooms, a gym, a pool, and a sauna. Wilkinson, who is taking up a coaching role in Toulon, is asking £1.5million for the property. Nothing cosy about this mansion. Speaking to the Daily Mail, Wilkinson attributed the resurrection of his injury plagued career to this property. When I went through my injury period between 2004 and 2007, I just couldn’t stay fit and I was struggling. It was then I decided to extend the property to include space for a gym and a swimming pool. It kind of saved my career. My whole life was about doing rehab and gym work to try and stay fit and get back into my job. It became a bit of a retreat almost. Not too shabby. Oh, a gyme… The house is for sale through Foster Madison. Leave a Reply Cancel ReplyYou must be logged in to post a comment.
